Scala is proud to join Dance For Good, a venue-powered fundraiser presented by The Right To Dance on International Dance Day supporting War Child’s vital work in conflict zones.

29th April is International Dance Day – a global celebration from UNESCO honouring the power of dance in all its forms. To recognise the club’s contribution to worldwide dance culture and its collective force for good, Dance For Good brings together a nationwide network of leading UK venues to fundraise from the dance floor across the weekend of 29th April.

If you can’t make it down on the night, you can still support the initiative by grabbing the Dance For Good t-shirt in collaboration with Indonesian artist Muhammad Fatchurofi, inspired by acid house zines and the Second Summer of Love.

100% of profits from sales go to War Child, with Everpress donating an additional £1 for every item sold.

War Child

For three decades, the organisation has been driven by a single goal: for no child’s life to be torn apart by war. Working in places like Afghanistan, DRC, Ukraine and Yemen, their work keeps children safe, helps them learn and cope with their experiences, and equips them with skills for the future. War Child marks its milestone 30th anniversary throughout 2023.

The Right To Dance

A fundraising platform from War Child in collaboration with the club music community. The dance floor has long represented a sanctuary for groups of all backgrounds and interests; a place where community, freedom, identity, and self-expression is nurtured, without fear of recrimination. These shared values are at the heart of War Child's work rebuilding the lives of children in conflict zones and are celebrated by TRTD through original content, events, merch and rewards powered by the dancefloor.
